Mo Osman is someone Issaquah football fans might be vaguely familiar with, but it had been a while since anyone had seen him on the gridiron.

Osman, a senior running back and defensive back, played special teams for the Eagles as a sophomore in 2014, but spent the entire 2015 season recovering from a serious knee injury.

He’s healthy now and is proving his value for a program that lost several key pieces after reaching the Class 4A state playoffs last fall. He rushed for more than 100 yards and found the end zone for the first time on Sept. 16 when the Eagles trounced Inglemoor, 40-7, for their first win of the season.
